A DiGiCo session without the offline editor
Building a DiGiCo session means a Windows laptop and the offline editor, on the exact software version the rental console runs. This does it in the browser. Drop the input list the band sent and you're looking at it on a console view a few seconds later, named, paired, patched and processed. It works on every SD and Quantum console, on every software version DiGiCo still publishes.
Open a session you already have
Got a .ses from the last engineer or the house? Drop it in. You get a readout of what's in it, the console it was made for and the oldest software that opens it, and the whole thing on a console view you can change. Download it when it looks right, then open it in the offline editor before the show.

The dLive Show Maker does the same job for dLive. I plan the truck with Truck Packer.
DiGiCo Session Maker questions
- What is the DiGiCo Session Maker?
- It's a free web tool I built. Drop a .ses and it opens on a console view right in the browser. Drop an input list, or just describe the show, and it builds the session for you. You don't need the DiGiCo offline editor or a Windows PC.
- Which DiGiCo consoles and software versions does it support?
- Every SD and Quantum console. On the SD side that's the SD5, SD5 CS, SD7, SD8, SD9, SD10, SD11 and SD12. On the Quantum side it's the 112, 225, 225 Pulse, 326/338, 338 Pulse, 5, 7 and 852. It covers every software version DiGiCo still publishes, from V1455 to V2242.
- How do I turn an input list into a DiGiCo session?
- Drop the list on the page. Excel, CSV, PDF, Word and plain text all work. It builds the session and opens it on the console view. Anything it had to guess is marked on the strip with a ?, and you fix it right there. Change the console, the software version or FOH and Monitors above the strips.
- Can I just describe the show?
- Yes. Type something like "monitors for a 5-piece band on a Quantum 225, everyone on in-ears, click to the drummer only". It plans the channels, the mixes or the FX and groups, and builds it. That part runs on AI, so it asks for your email the first time.
- What's the difference between a FOH and a monitor session?
- For FOH it sets up reverbs and a delay with sensible sends, subgroups, and keeps click and talkback out of the PA. For monitors it makes one mix per musician, stereo for in-ears and mono for wedges, with a starting blend in each mix, and little or no FX.
- Will the session load on my console?
- I tested every console and software version on the list in DiGiCo's own offline editor for that exact version. Still, open the file in the offline editor and look it over before a show.
- Can a session from newer software load on an older console?
- No. A DiGiCo console opens sessions saved by its own software version or older, never newer. Pick the version your console runs. If you're not sure, pick the oldest version the rental shop might have.
- Can I edit a DiGiCo session in a web browser?
- Yes. Drop the .ses and it opens on a console view with a readout of what's in it. Flip HPF, gate, comp and Mustard on each strip, set 48V, pan and the faders, and open a channel for EQ, dynamics, patch and sends. Every change can be undone. Download the new .ses when you're done.
- Why do you ask for an email?
- Only to build from a description, or from a list too messy to read by rules. That part runs on AI and every run costs me money. Your email goes on my email list and you can unsubscribe any time. One email unlocks it in your browser for good.
- Is it free, and is it made by DiGiCo?
- It's free. It's not made by or affiliated with DiGiCo. I'm a touring FOH engineer in Nashville and I built it for the road.
